Leslie Carol Roberts
About
A pioneer of eco-narrative, Leslie Carol Roberts brings a deep love of language and landscape into the classroom. Her cross-genre classes ask writers to tune into the natural world and their place within it.
Roberts is the author of two books about travel, culture, and ecological thought: The Entire Earth and Sky: Views on Antarctica (2012) and Here Is Where I Walk: Episodes from a Life in the Forest (2019). Her work has appeared in Fast Company and The Nation, among other places. In 2018 she founded the Ecopoesis Project with two architects; they host gatherings of shared ecological thought and art-making focused on increased solidarity, as humans and more-than-humans face climate change together.
